The beauty of prepaid is that if you want to do something, or do it accidentally, it won't work unless you've already paid. So for example, if you want to call overseas, you have to pay first. But correct, no extra charge.

BTW PM is currently offering the same plan as $120/150GB/90days or effectively $40/mo ("mo"=30 days). If this is going to be your year-round plan (and not just a month at a time for vacation), consider setting up a change **effective on next renewal date** to that plan now. You can always cancel the change if you want something else before it happens. (If you do an immediate change, you lose whatever you already paid for this month).

Just like the Spaghetti Factory - It's All Included.
No such thing as extra charges here.

Looked at one way, it is effectively free, since at QC pricing the Canada-US plans offer more data than the Canada-only plans. So far my QC friends have been happy moving to 3GB ($29) or 20GB ($34) but if they ever wanted to go higher, I'd argue they should take $40/50GB/mo@5G (Canada-US) paid 90days, instead of $40/30GB@5GB (useless after 30GB) or $40/40GB@4G. The Canada-US plan gives more flexibility when data runs out than the 5G Canada-only plan (which is new activations only, but I'm hoping to find a few converts with this more aggressive pricing) and simply more data than the 4G Canada-only. Only downside is paying $120 at a time, which is not an issue for many people.

So it's "free" because for the price of 40GB, they can get an extra 10GB, data while in US (even if just Plattsburgh), and calling to/from US. So effectively "free". But only if you were going to spend $40 anyway. 🙂

What else would you do with "us data". Yes, it's a roaming plan. Plus talk and text in both Canada and the US. Of course it's not actually free. It's that it's included in your plan cost.

It's $45/50GB Canada-US in QC, or $40/150GB/90days. Very jealous. 🙂

Hi @Isabelle2024
It should offer roaming based on T-Mobile coverage there. Can you send me a screenshot of the plan you have so I can confirm?
