First of all, Public Stock Company does not have a phone number. They are unreliable on replies.  Second, if you get locked out or can't receive sign in codes, then you have lost your money.   Find a company who communicates before you invest. Public Stock Company is not a safe and secure investor. It's that simple.

Another example of a good reason to stop using SMS for 2FA and switch to TOTP codes (Time-based One Time Password) via an app that requires no internet/data/phone connection, and is safe from number porting & sim swap fraud.

Although unfortunately, many Canadian banks have not adopted 2FA via these "standard" TOTP apps used by most of the popular social media and other online platforms...

As noted by @softech  for security reasons 2FA verification codes are usually delayed for 72 hours for financial institutions and 7 days for sites that deal with stock exchanges, bonds, day trading etc....

@Hockeygirl15   This is normal in the first week of porting .

You will start getting 2FA code within next couple days.  Many Financial institutions set this up as a security measure, just in case the number was ported out due to SIM Fraud.    So, likely you will have to contact your financial institution for the next couple days for a manual validation instead of via 2FA.

Also, some system generated text need time (again, up to 7 days but usually quicker) to recognize your number was ported over to another provider.  This is something to do with network routing.
