How is it that I can get a phone number from Public Mobile, and it's in use by someone else for their Eversafe?

you want to use another number to receive Eversafe 2Fa on your family account?
each number can only associated with 1 account. So, if what was what you were doing, you can't. But you can use email to receive 2FA code, hope this helps
