I can not make and receive calls. Having troubles with my SIM card. Unsure how to fix it. It is the SIM because I tried a different SIM in the same phone and it was fine.

@chrismegan open a ticket with PM Support. They will go through some troubleshooting steps with you. If they also think it is the SIM card, openly ask if they can reimburse the sim cost. They might
And to get a new sim card, you will need to buy one form your local Telus and Koodo stores (call before you go as not every store has it). Once you got the sim card, login to My Account and you can request change sim card there

I've been a public mobile customer for years now with no problem.
And yes the sim card had the same issues when I swapped phones
Tried Samsung s21fe and pixel 4a, both unlocked both have issues with public mobile. Our Koodo sim works fine

@chrismegan - did you go through the sim card activation found here: https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/portal/activation
Have you had services before this...Check for outages in your area:
https://www.telus.com/en/on/outages
https://istheservicedowncanada.com/status/telus
https://downdetector.ca/status/telus/map/
If you were charged for a plan and sim card activation then submit a ticket to CSA to check your account since you tried the sim in another phone.
Public Mobile Representatives customer support agents (CSA) can be contacted by either two methods, found here:
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/contact-an-agent
EDIT, oh I misread about you trying a sim in the same phone...
Can you also try the public sim card in another compatible phone to see if services work?
If the phone is locked contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
