Good evening, it's exciting to see those nice Black Friday plans offered by Public Mobile. I'm currently on $34 CAN/US 50GB plan. The change subscription in the app isn't showing any of the lower tier BF plans yet i.e. 10GB CAN/US/MEX Plan
As an existing subscriber, can I subscribe to a lower priced plan?

They don't care. You can come back 5 minutes later as a new customer if you want. Most won't go through the hassle, and they know it. Like @computergeek541 said though, you'll need to use a different email address. And you'll need a new sim.

You'd need to use a different e-mail address, but other than that, there are no restrictions.

So yer saying.... there's no minimum time limit from being away -- and I could come back with all the same subscription info as in my first sign-up as before ..even with the same email address, etc? 🤔
Because if someone is on a higher plan tier and decides they can get by with just a cheaper entry level plan (ie, little data, no 5g) it works ok to leave and then come back ..correct?

The activation systems will see any new account as being the same as another new account. Anyone opening a new account will have the same selection of plans offered to new customers.

When you come back after say, a month, wouldn't PM see your old account info (VISA, email, name, phone number, etc) and stop you from reapplying for a new subscription (at a better into rate)?

sadly, most carriers tend to put the best deals for new customers only. Fortunately, we’re not on contract, so if PM won’t give you the deal, wait a few days and I’m sure another carrier will have something similar. 😎
im on a $39 50gb can/us plan and best I see is $45 for the can/us/mex, will most likely switch if they don’t open up the deals to existing customers.

Yeah you can always change to any of the existing plans. I have the $34 from last year. I wonder why it's $1 more expensive this year

The New $35 Can-US-Mex Plan is by far the Best Value, I'd take it, as the fees are reasonable, $1 more than the $34 Can-US, and still 50GB and 5G, so I wouldn't complain

I mentioned this in a different thread on this topic. It might be worthwhile to grab the $30 CAN-US plan for now to open more doors to better plan options down the road. That is what I have done. I could get by with 20GB in the meantime.

It varies user by user, and typically you don't get a lot of options to downgrade spend. I was on the $34/50GB Can/US plan and I had options to change to 2 different $30 plans, as well as the $35/50GB Can/US/Mex plan and above.

@fahadakter It’s hard to downgrade plans these days but you should be able to see the $35 50GB MEX plan there . I’m in $34 plan too and don’t see the $29 MEX plan in my account either lowest plan I see is the $30 CAN/US 20GB plan unfortunately. So if you don’t see it in your account chances are you won’t be able to switch to it . Could try your luck with support but I doubt they will help . I think only people on $25 plan and lower will see the $29 MEX plan available to them

If it's not available on the app then no you can't get it. If you want a cheeper plan that not available on the app then you will need to get a different provider. Or port your number out to another provider then port it back in if you want to stay here. To much work if you as me.

The $29 seems to be for new customers only so far but the others seem to appear for some existing customers. Not everyone has access to the same plans and plans cheaper than your current one are likely to be restricted.
Edit: Seems they can all appear as targeted offers including the $29 one. Maybe they will open them up to more users as we get closer to Black Friday.
