Price increase

Hi, I didn't get any notification about the price increase as I  was overseas and you don't have coverage there. You have already cancelled the loyalty discount. Usually the plans can't change for the existing accounts. Does it mean that you can change the price any time you want now in the future and you will just send us a message about the increase? The reason why I moved from Lucky Mobile to Public Mobile was that you had "firm" plans and you were at that time the best. Not anymore. Now I have to move to different provider again?  Considering to cancel and not to promote it to my friends anymore.

Can you please send me the plan price hike from $15 to $18 notification? I do not recall receiving it.

Thanks

I looked into the Terms of Use and he's what it says regarding your concern....

Can the terms of service change?
Public Mobile may change the Services offered, including rates, and any term of the Agreement, at any time. If required, we will
give you notice of these changes in writing, at least 30 days before the effective date, using a reasonable method to bring it to your
attention, such as by posting it on publicmobile.ca, or by email or text message. By purchasing Service after a change has been made,
including by continuing to top-up your account, you accept the change.
If you refuse any changes, your remedy is to cancel the impacted Service or Agreement. You can cancel Service at any time, without
penalty or cancellation fees. Note that any unused funds will not be refunded when you cancel.

When I signed up with PM years ago, I was told the price can't change unless I upgrade to different plan than it can change. So don't tell me PM can do what they want. Maybe that changed now, or they lied to me back than. I was with Rogers for years and they cancelled the prepaid plan I was on, but Rogers couldn't change the price for the plan I was on or cancel it.  Customers in Canada have almost no rights so I know PB doesn't care if I cancel. It seems you are ok with that.

@Hilda111

out of all the mainstream cell providers, Public Mobile has maintained stable low prices as good or better than any of the other 3rd tier providers. You should log in to your account on more frequent basis just to keep an eye on your plan and any current plans and news updates. Many of us have also noticed the elimination of Rewards has affected plan costs....while points are a joke. The loyalty discount isn't really worthy to be called an incentive but it's better than nuthin' !

@Hilda111

if you meant the loyalty discount change, there have been 2 different ones in the last 2 years, they were announced here and also they sent sms and emaill to you

If you meant the $15 plan price hike to $18, PM has send sms to your phone around mid Sept and the price change happened end of Oct

And sorry, all providers have the right to make change to price and rewards program.  PM is not the only one doing that
