Hi,
Im currently on the $45 plan but would like to switch to the newly offered $35 plan. The $35 plan does not show up for me. This is the second time this has happened but last time they said it was only for new activations or people going to a more expensive plan, which this one does not state.
is there any way I can switch? I would cancel my plan but it is due after the deal expires. What are my options, as I’m thinking of just cancelling and switching to freedom to get on this deal.
thanks you

Change to freedom and stay there, that's the best option. Can't say i'll recommend pm to anyone now after these anti-consumer tactics.

Let me know if you do go this route .... do an instant renewal to a lower plan and then renewal on the $35 plan. I am on the fence like you. I do not want to change to a lower plan and then not have the $35 option show up.

Yes, this is what I see.

you currently have the $45 plan and when you log in to your account, and view the plan menu available to you...you see the $20 / 4g plan. That is unusual.

@BradH123 since you are on the $45 plan right now, what is the cheapest price plan offered to you in your account? I'm on the $34 50GB Canada-US plan and the only cheaper plan I have on offer is $30 20GB Canada-wide, all other plans are more expensive. A possible work-around that was shared in another post was if by chance you have the same $30 option you could switch to that one using "Change now" and then within 24hrs your should be able to see more options to switch to. If you see the one you want, you could then choose "Change on renewal" so that you are not totally wasting money. Keep in mind, the first "Change now" will bill you immediately and you will not get a refund for any unused days from your current subscription but this might be easier than porting out and then porting back in.

You won't be able to take the $20 plan if you have an expensive plan now. You'd have to get a new sim and start a new account using a different email address. You'd need to take a new number too unless you've ported out to a different provider. It gets kinda complicated and expensive as you can see.

It is very frustrating indeed. I'm sure there's many "snowbirds" who got snookered into expensive Canada/US/Mx plans who think they can downsize their plan after winter....they're in for a surprise !!

@BradH123 We can only change to the plan that are offered to us in our accounts despite what website says , and it’s harder to downgrade plan price but easy to upgrade plan price the fact you currently pay $45 is why you don’t see the $35 plan . So you could always port number out and back in on Neely created PM account with. New sim and new email to get desired $35 plan and keep same phone number

once you have a higher priced plan, PM won't let you downgrade to a cheaper plan now. You can merely take the plans currently avaialble to you.
