Hi Guys,
I recently ported my number to another provider, but I am not happy with their connectivity and would like to return to PM. I still have my previous SIM. Can I re-use that, or do I need to purchase an new one?
Also, what is the process to port in a number?
Thanks.

eSIM is also free for certain promo plans at the present time also. I would recommend downloading the PM app on your phone and start activation directly from App especially for eSIM activation. The app will check if eSIM is compatible with your phone.

Real EZPZ...but...when/if you change to different phone, you'd need a new esim. They only work in original cellphone...not trnsferable like hard sim is.

see if a friend or family member has a Public Mobile account. They'd be happy to give your their referral code.

Yes, that is the right one.
If you don't know anybody with a PM account (friend code), I will DM you a code. Check your inbox (envelope icon) upper right corner of website.

How do I get a Friend Code?

Unfortunately, you will need to purchase a new SIM card. Or if your phone is compatible, eSIM is also an option.
When you active your new plan, you can directly port at that time. You will need your present carrier account holder name, account number and phone number (avoid IME if possible).

hi @Derrickr
sorry, sim card cannot be reused.
So, you need to buy a new PM sim card and set up a new account agian
You can buy a new card for $10 from Telus or Koodo store around. Or buy from Amazon for $4.99
Make sure you get a friend code to get a one time $10 credit when you come back. And to get your number back, your current provider account must still be active. Just request porting in number when you activate
