Can I add a data add-on to a no data plan?

Hi there. I understand you cannot add a talk/text add-on to a data only plan as you need to have a plan with voice to use talk/text.  But what about the other way?  Can we add a data add-on to a no data (talk/text only) plan?  Sorry maybe this is an already asked question, but I couldn't find an answer in this forum.

Since I don't have a plan now, I can't see any addons. That's why I'm asking here.

I don't have any plan now. My plan expired last month (but still valid till August). I'm thinking of doing it as I will only need a plan for a few days when I go back to Canada.

yes you can I have it on my plan just go under add ons but you need the funds in your account first then purchase the add on, you can buy a voucher at walmart  london drugs or a half dozen other places

Scroll down on the plan page to the add ons section to see what you can get. It's a one-time chunk of data so if you chose  1 gig and use it in the first month you'll have to buy it again. If you only use a portion then the remaining rolls over until it's used  

If you plan to use a lot of data then it can get expensive doing it that way.

You mean you have $10 plan, and now you'd add on data? I think you can.
