You need a PM sim Card. The first one I got I went to Telus store to get it. We wanted to change another line over to PM and this time we order online through PM site. It arrived in 4 day (although some people wait longer for it to arrive) You can also do esim, my phone does not support so I wan no able to do that.

1.  No, you will need to purchase a new PM SIM card or if your phone is compatible, eSIM.

Public mobile physical SiM card can be purchase online via this website (10 business day shipping times), Amazon (Prime shipping) or in person at corporate Telus/Koodo stores.  $10 cost.  Amazon often offers for $4.99

eSIM activations are free at the present time.

2.  90 days.  If you account is suspended more than 90 days, your account will be closed permanently and number lost.

3. Switching to another PM plan is DIY via your self service account.  Easy to do.
