Hey there,
I will be living in the US for the next 4 months and am wondering if there is a Public Mobile plan that would allow me to make calls within the US (to other US numbers) while I am there and also calls back to Canada?
Thanks so much for the help!

hi @DG6
hard to recommend, it depends on the money you want to pay and the data you need
But check My Account and go to Change Subscription page and check what plans are available to you. If you need suggestions still, screenshot the plans you see there and post here so we can help

Ok, is there a specific plan that is recommended?
And to confirm, it works across the US (I will be in New Mexico) for calls within the US and to Canada at no extra charge? ANd I'm hearing that the Iphone 11 uses the Volte system? I just need to make sure of this stuff 100% as the only other provider for Can/US calls in the US is Rogers and I think needs to be activated at a Roger's Kiosk while in Canada.
I appreciat4e the help so thank you!

@DG6 there is actually no limitation to time period or how much data you can use with Canada/US plan. Basically you can use the full cycle in US without problem. There were confirmation and people tried. So, don't get scared

Hey @DG6
I would strongly advise you contact a CS Agent to confirm if there is a time period you can be in the US for while using a Public Mobile plan. There may be limitations that aren't posted on their website. Like for example, you may be only able to use a Canada/US plan for 30 straight days at a time or 60 or 90. I do know that most Telco companies have limitations.

yes, iPhone 11 can use VoLTE, it is on PM's whitelist

I have an iphone 11. Does that have Volte? Is it still not a sure thing to have good coverage if you do?

in the US, they've shut down their 3g networks used for Public Mobile calling. Now you must have a cell that works using VoLTE only. What cellphone do you have ?

yes, all those Canada US plans are designed for that. I think most of these roaming plans include Mexico too

@DG6 hey! On the Public Mobile website there are several Canadian-US plans to choose from if you are new customer to PM.
The plans will work in either country for calls, text and data.
Many have issues with calls however as it depends on the type of phone you have.
It requires VoLTE, but if your phone is not on PM whitelist you might be stuck unable to make calls within US and back fo Canada.
