Hello everyone,
If I enable Live Voicemail, will I get charged minutes on my phone plan?

When iPhone live voicemail is enabled, your phone basically answers the call and provides the voicemail interface, showing the live transcription at the same time. Public Mobile just sees it as a call connected and answered by your phone, and your phone itself is doing all the work. I don't have an iPhone, but i read there is a limit of 2 minutes for any caller, and as such if you have a limited minutes plan (ie $15/100 minutes) may use minutes, though most versions of the $15/100 minute plan include unlimited incoming calls, so it would never cost you anything more than your existing plan cost.

I would expect it to use minutes as the phone answers the call and records the message locally on the device.

Hey @cooledits_com
I enabled it too recently. I don't really use my data on the plan I have as I use my WiFi. Just last week I got a call from someone, ended up being a pocket dial, I listed to it 3 times at 5 minutes each as it was somewhat entertaining to listen to. Plus I shared it with them on the 3rd time. It did indeed use data but very little. Also, don't worry about minutes ever. All PM plans are unlimited minutes.

I think it won't use any minutes but use your data allotment. Jus make sure u have enough data. If you are on 50gb plan should be more than enough.

No it doesn’t not count towards minutes.
