Yahoo!
Making 4G speed plans more attractive is great! For $40, you get 5GB of 4G speed. That is very tempting! 🤔 for $5 more I can get 4G speed instead of 3G speed. I'm planning to switch plans soon! 😁

@KamWest The offer refers to the points promo, not the plan promo. I've switched to the $40 plan without issues.

It clearly says NEW CUSTOMERS, does that mean I cannot upgrade?

Oh boy that’s extremely in depth my head hurts but bravo haha.

Yes that makes sense....there was poor value with "3G" plans over $40 being more expensive for the most part than "4G" plans. Still the $50/10gb plan had some value. The legacy $60 Canada/US Roaming plan is still a bargain comparitively with 8.5gb of domestic data and 2gb of Roaming data and the unlimited text and minutes. Lol....I know how to get this plan still.....

@darlicious There's no commitment to any plan on PM, that's why I love prepaid. You can change plans anytime when you want, your needs change, there's a good promo plan or improvement to existing plans.

$40/5gb is a great price at the same price point as the "3G" plan but the pricing after that doesn't really make sense. If you price data at $2/1gb only the $60/15gb plan falls in line with a $2/1gb incremental increase the $90/40gb plan giving you a real discounted price on a large data bucket over and above $40/5gb plan price. Pricing as follows:
Plan pricing would make more sense as follows:
This way plans are treated equally but the customer continues to save on the price per 1GB with larger data bucket plans. What's the point of offering plans with poor value comparitively?

@hTideGnow Yes, I am immediately switching to this plan (for next renewal) because it's a really good deal given I wanted faster speeds, and I can do so for the cost of a Starbucks coffee per month.

Hi @LeePublic and the $40 is the best out of the Tier 3 because it is 4G speed and others still 3G speed

Legit just switched, stoked.

@HALIMACS I see what you mean, there's no more 3G speed plan for $40 or more anymore like Koodo. Only 4G speeds for $40 or more. IMO, I see this as a win, basically a free/low cost upgrade to 4G speeds if you are on a $40 or more 3G speed plan.

Using 4G is like having a car going 300km/h but using 30 litres/100km - the faster you go your 5GB will be used up in no time. I see no point of 4G speed on phones at all, but that is just me...

Thanks for the heads up.

Starting to "feel" more like Koodo every day... 🙄
