Guys, did you guys notice? The newer phones do show 5G+ and the speed does go above 300Mbps. Anything new happening which I'm not aware?

I have noticed this too & have always seen speeds going up, then coming back down to 250 and remaining stable. Thats why I was curious like - whats happening. I dont get to see 5G+ symbol, but I do get 250Mbps

@Shubh2023 - I think on 5G+ (3500mhz and soon to be 3800mhz) spectrum it is harder for the system to artificially limit your packet speeds. I think it is that TELUS might be using Hardware Acceleration. I see that my speeds go from 310mbps at first down to 270 then 250 then up to 270 and 300 again and down to 250. Compared to LTE / 5G NSA (700mhz, 850mhz, 1700mhz, 1900mhz, 2100mhz, 2300mhz, and 2600mhz) it stays consistent at 250 or below.

HI @Shubh2023
the 5G+ you see on the phone just means it uses different bands for better speed. If you are on Telus, having 5G+ and the 5G+ plan would give you as much as 1000Mbps speed.
But with PM, it is simply a different channel, maybe more stable connection, but you still get the same top speed offered by PM 5G plan.

@Shubh2023 I have my iPhone on 5G Auto and when I'm out and about sometimes I see 5G+ , it's been like that for quite a while. Doesn't happen all that often though, depends where I am.

5G+ has been available, pending phone compatibility, at Public Mobile for quite some time. However, Public Mobile does not offer customers any speeds above 250Mbps. 5G or 5G+ isn't actually required to get that 250Mbps top speed. LTE is capable of that.

Yes I’ve noticed when you enable Add More Data on 5G in the Data Mode on iPhones.
