$34/month with a 90-day subscription-20 GB Data at 4G Speed

I am currently on the 20 GB Data at 4G Speed for $39 plan and would like to take advantage of the discount offered on a 90-day subscription. My next renewal date is September 19, but the offer is currently advertised as only up to September 5. The system is allowing me to change the plan to 90 day subscription on my renewal date but if the flash sales ends on September 5, what will happen to change subscription request to on September 19?

HI @elementskates2

it is normal to get your usual $8 rewards when you change from 30 to 90 days plan.  You will get $24 rewards in your next renewal.

@elementskates2

actually no glitch.

It is correct they gave you 1x the reward when you first change from a 30 days cycle to 90 days

Remember, rewards are earned at the end of a plan cycle.  PM will credit rewards to your account on the last day of the cycle.  These rewards will then be used towards your renewal on the following day

Since you are moving from a 30 days cycle, you have only earned one month worth of rewards, and the 1 month worth of rewards will therefore be applied on your new renewal, the plan change for your 90 days.

Now that you changed to the 90 days plan, you will be receiving the rewards as follow:

  • sometime during this 90 days, you will get $6 Autopay in one payment
  • every 30 days, PM will credit you the loyal rewards, friend referrals rewards and Community rewards, ie, you will get 3 seperate payments in the next 90 days

I just did the switch from a 30 day plan to 90 day plan and the rewards glitch happened to me. I was only given $8 of rewards for the 90 day plan when I should have received $8/month, or $24 total. How do I get this corrected?

@Rocket12 , I just upgraded a couple of my accounts to the $102/60GB deal from existing $39/20GB plan.  When you do the plan change, you will see the option to switch to 90 day version of what is essentially the same plan.  Make sure to have the change happen on next scheduled renewal so you don't lose paid service.  Also keep an eye on the rewards every 30 days if you are on the old $ reward system.  It seems like subscription reward might not be issued properly.  This happened on my previous switch to a 90 day plan, not sure if the glitch has been fixed.

Thanks everyone, definitely switching!

@Handy1, your bill is my goal. Love it!

HI @elementskates2

you won't lost any of the discount, you will still get your $8/month discount, which would be $24/90 days

and you won't got changed to Public points just because you changed plan, they are two different things

@elementskates2  No you will keep old rewards I can confirm I switch plans often and always keep my rewards . There tied to your account not your plan

I'm on the old rewards program with a $40/month plan, subtract $5/month loyalty credits, $1/month refer a friend credit and $2/month auto-renewal credits.

If I switch to this plan, will I lose some or all of my discounts? Will I be automatically switched to the new, not as good rewards program?

HI @DDM69

basically yes.  I notice carriers usually do not touch old plans (true that they might raise the price, but not often)

Yes you can schedule the plan change at next renewal and it will still apply even if the plan isn't offered at that time (because you had it scheduled before it expired).

@DDM69- The company can do anything they like anytime they like. But yes, correct. You pay the full amount up front (minus any rewards). Then renew every 90 after.

This plan s excellent. Eventually with my rewards in March of next year , this will amount to $29.38 a month.

@Rocket12  I went through a similar process back in June with a different 90 day offer. I scheduled a plan change with no issues or interruptions.

There was a glitch in my account on the renewal day which showed that I was still on the old plan. The old 30 day plan in the shopping cart, and a message stating that my services are on hold (phone services were not suspended). The funds took some time to come out of my account. My account didn't really update until I checked around noon on the renewal day (Eastern time). I received the monthly rewards for one month the day prior to my plan renewal. I did not immediately receive my rewards for the full 90 days, and have been seeing them added to my account funds every 30 days. It's worth the discount if you're willing to pay for the plan upfront, but remember that you are committed for 90 days once it all happens.

Edit: I am on the old rewards program.

Historically Public Mobile has honored scheduled plan changes even if the plan was not in-market anymore at the time of the actual change. It has worked for me that way just recently.

- schedule your plan change as soon as possible

- take a screen shot of the "your plan will change on ..." flag

- you can cancel the plan change until the day before renewal night
