Hello. When you refer a friend, you get 1 point and they get 10 points (which is equal to $10). If you exceed your data limit, I am wonder if you have thought of changing your PM plan? I have tons of data for YouTube, movies, and downloads, etc.

I glt 10 pints pretty fast since my last used towards my bill. If you help out in the community like I am right now you can earn faster and every dollar you spend u get a point. According to the app. But ive not seen 62 points n thats how much I apen a month for my bill as I use alot of data to watch ytube and go on line. So not sure why thats nto working quite right unless I've misunderstood plus you can get 10 points for referring s friend or 10 dollars. There is many ways to get points. But you have to make sure theyre gling thru onto your account as well. Of you subscribe snd they tske it monthly from your bank you also get points

The new points system seems to have okay choices for rewards but it does take a while to accumulate enough points to take $15 off the plan I have

I tell them it is prepaid for the month as to postpaid so they know the difference. The no activation fee will s a big plus, Freedom wanted $45.

I have referred a few friends and was having trouble explaining the points reward system. This article is very timely for me! Now, I just have to figure out how to ‘share’ it lol

When I first decided to make the switch to the points system, I was given a ton of points which was really great. I decided that the best course of action was to trade them in for several $15 bill credits. Definitely saved me a ton of money.
Ever since that time, I've noticed that the points take a while to accumulate despite my having several referrals. Can anyone suggest how I can accumulate points more quickly perhaps?

I do agree that the older system was far better for us as consumers. PM must have been losing too much money with it I'm assuming. Also, I noticed that they must have done away with the Christmas bonus program which was a nice perk of being a customer.

I did launch a complaint. Got a sorry but there’s not going back to the old plan. Tried to assure me the new one was just as good. Total BS. Higher-ups at PM totally out of touch with their consumer base.

There are 2 points that a simply not true:
1) "If you're an old subscriber and want to switch from the legacy rewards to Public Points, you can easily do so through the Public Mobile app or My Account online".
-Actually PM forces you onto the public points program, that's why a lot of loyal customers are angry; public points are garbage compared to the legacy rewards.
2) "Loyalty Perks: Get 1 point for every 30 days you’ve been with Public Mobile and switch from Old Public Rewards to Public Points."
-Not true either. A bunch of people have posted/reported about that already.
And one last point I am doubtfull about: "Help others on the Public Mobile Community to earn 'Give Back' points." -Other than the "Oracles", I wonder if there is actually anybody that have received points for any participation in the "community"...

The most infuriating part of this system is that tickets will be closed after 72 hours of inactivity regardless of if the issue is resolved or not. Even if you are the one waiting for tech support to get back to you, last year I had to message everyday to keep a ticket opened which ended up getting closed multiple times and took close to a month to resolve. I ended up turning to malicious compliance and sending them a message every hour stating " this is your hourly update request to keep ticket number XXXXXX opened until the issue is resolved, please send any updates concerning this ticket at your earliest convenience, thank you for your time" I got tired of having to to log in and reiterate all my account information over and over again.

Same here about the 1 point per 30 days spent with them.

Yes we should all be lodging a complaint. I Know I did. The PM customer service is a dud. I even filled ansewred their survey (for once) just to let them know how the new points system & customer service are both infuriating.

Should we all be lodging complaints? I tried going thru PM customer service and got nowhere. I’d be happy if they just went back to the old system that worked so well

Yeah it's annoying this way because you have to use a separate login to even access your messages... which is different from your regular Public Mobile login info... I hate this new system.

Mine was $6 less, I'm pretty upset about this too. But there might be hope with the CCTS? Not sure: https://www.iphoneincanada.ca/2024/03/31/ccts-rejecting-public-mobile-responses-rewards-complaints/
07-21-2024 08:01 PM
Same. Check this article about the CCTS denying Public Mobile: https://www.iphoneincanada.ca/2024/03/31/ccts-rejecting-public-mobile-responses-rewards-complaints/

I was wondering about this too, I saw this article was published a while back, but no other news:

In the top right hand corner of the app you will see your profile circle
Click on this circle and view your profile it will show you all of the badges you have
07-19-2024 07:47 PM
Yes, if you deactivate your account any points that you have accumulated will be lost!
07-19-2024 07:44 PM
First off you need At Least 15 points to be able to apply it to your bill. At the bottom of your mobile app, you will see a rewards tab Click on this and you will see available rewards according to how many points you currently have! Check out the catalogue and look for Bill Credits. Again, keep in mind you need a minimum of 15 points!

Fizz now offers coverage in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario. It's also still available in Quebec
07-14-2024 08:25 AM
Any word on the CCTS getting involved?
07-14-2024 08:23 AM
Totally agree
07-14-2024 08:22 AM
I got squat as well, other that the 5 welcome bonus ones. On the old system, I saved money for the 3 others that used my referral code plus the money I saved with auto-pay and loyalty. Sigh.
Supposed to get point by participating here but I’ve seen nothing and I’m handing out bravo and adding comments but I’ve seen no points added

One-Time Rewards
I've been with public mobile for years... but the only one-time reward I got when I was switched over was the 5 points... I didn't get the 1 point per 30 days I've been with them.
07-10-2024 10:28 PM
Honestly, that's probably why they changed it. Because they weren't making enough money with the old reward system. This is basically them coming up with a way to make more money while telling their customer this is an upgraded reward system... Sucks for us, more money in their pockets. I'm still getting better service with public than the other service providers ( I mean cell service, not customer service... The whole browser based messaging system for customer service is outrageously incompetent... Although it's still better then trying to call rogers for anything)
07-10-2024 07:29 PM
Really dislike this new rewards system. It sucks and it’s not the savings they bill it to be. I complained, logged a Customer Support ticket an got no where. Whoever thought this new plan was better clearly missed the boat.

Wondering how give back points work? So would my comments such as this be counted as engagement with the community?
06-14-2024 03:06 PM
I hung on to the old loyalty plan until they booted me to the new one. My last bill under the old loyalty plan was $8 less - plus I have the rest of the family set up all with autopay, so it was a savings of about $15-$18/month. That adds up over the year. I loved the old plan. Rewards were awarded automatically. It was simple.
