will a 3g phone work on the sim card

new phone (not yet connected) mirh # entered esim turned red will sim card work ??

the cheap flip phone will not scan or download public app  any ideas ??

Yes the SIM will work on your 3G flip but keep in mind that 3G will be decommissioned in 2025 so you might want to look for a new phone in a year.

Good thing is that you can just take out the SIM and put it in the new phone…business as usual.

@Perky89   Your phone should be able to take a Public Mobile physical sim card as it comes in three sizes (via adaptors).  Since you can't download the app, you can get a friend/family member to download it, set up your account using the sim card number and then they can delete the app.  If you can't get someone to download the app, then contact customer service using the chat/message icon bottom right of this page.
