stuck in an endless loop of nothing happening. confirm email/password, code sent to phone, cant access notification cuz i cant get into account to add funds to phone, click other, get code sent to email, enter code, goes back to home page without getting me into account

Put the name in the search bar. After the initial search doublecheck that the spelling has not changed or the name replaced by a "suggested" word/name. Then click/tap "users" and search again. This will yield the user or similar usernames whereas you can go to their profile, a list of their posts that is easier to search than their profile's post list and a few user statistics.

Are you using the PM app? Or trying to login online? Try using the other if you haven't already. Has your email been used previously on pm?

I have done all of the above that everyone has suggested, to no avail, multiple times.

I do not know about Mickey Mouse but it is more like Asterix and Obelix for me as everything works great at my side. If code cannot be received to phone redirect it to email.
Try using different browser. Try Incognito/private mode. Clear browser’s cache. Try forced refresh. Use computer and not phone to log in.

Clear cookies, cache, and history on browser. Or try another browser. I have experienced the same.
