why am i not getting 5g

i recently upgraded my plan from a 4g one to a 5g one is there a setting i have to change so i can get 5g

but you can still have "5G speed" , close to 250Mbps,  using this phone on 4G network

@ethan22  first you need 5G phone and charge your set the phone to 5G . What phone you have ?
