In general, Public mobile will not offer refunds since prepaid service. If you already submitted a ticket, you should get a response in a few hours. CSA will ask for more details at that time. If you explain your situation, CSA might be able to help. YMMV.

Yes, if you want that autopay to work then it needs to be turned on. You could also make a manual payment of the $15 so that the system will take from that balance first.

sorry to bug you one last time, but i had 'unsubscribed' my current plan, then changed the subscription to $15 plan "upon renewal", but my home page says 'unsubscribed, subscribe now' -- so do i have to re-subscribe in addition to changing to $15 plan upon renewal to o make sure that my $40 plan switches to $15 plan without an interruption? i'm so confused sorry for so many questions

If you can make the payment before midnight eastern time, disabled pre-authorized payments but make the payment to renew the plan manually now. While you shouldn't get charged again after porting out even if that step isn't taken, doing that revokes the permission in the payment system to keep charging your credit card.
The other way would be to purposely not pay the Public Mobile renewal in the hopes that your port out is completed in time. However, if that happens, you'll need to take extra steps later on to get everything compelted.

@johanneskreis yes, only active line can be ported, unless you are porting into Koodo or Telus, but sound like you are not
So, your only option will then be change it to a $15 plan so your cost is less

Unelss you're sending the phone number to another Telus brand, the porting would fail (unless you pay for another 30 days of service at Public Mobile).

I'm going to add that even if it's the same date as the renewal (or the night before), it's important to use the scheduled change option. Using the immedaite plan change option the night before would unnecessarily cost the price of the plan if the port out sucessfully compelted before renewal. Also, if the immediate plan change option is used on the same day as renewal and the orignal renewal already happened, that plan change would cause the customer to be charged for two different Public Mobile plans.
In short, the scheduled change option needs to be used.

611 does give a time and date, but unfortunately, the information that the system provides is inaccruate. The time of day, while usually early in the day (eastern time), for the actual renwal can vary greatly (even from renewal to renewal).

Yup, it's all stupid programming. They can't seem to grasp the concept of -1 for that second data. Just recently it was the other way. The first date was a day early. Before that it was how it is now. Way before that it was just one date - the new plan date and said to pay before. That made sense.

i had no time, the store closed at 7pm today. and since my account said: Current Subscription Cycle

You've taken it too close to your expiry. Tomorrow will be too late. Why do people wait for the mail? Just go to a store. Anyway...that's me.
You will have some grace services until the early morning tomorrow when they would take your money. Then it will cut off.
Adding - to your recent post - no. It's telling you to subscribe to keep services going.
09-12-2023 08:18 PM
i turned subscription off, now my account says "Subscribe to never miss future payment. Your subscription is expiring on Sep 13, 2023." Will public mobile still try to renew my plan..? i dont get it

You wil need to ensure that porting has fully completed by midnight tonight eastern time (or at least before Public Mobile's systems try to renew your plan). Otherwise, you'll need to pay for another 30 days.

@johanneskreis - dates are not that well defined, I find.
If you could those days you get 31 including both start and end dates. But plans are 30 days not 31.
Officially as those dates are showing, this should mean your service stops at midnight est time on Sept. 13. And your new plan is Sept 14, if you have autopay or enough funds to renew your account.
edit, in actuality the next cycle starts on Sept 13. Watch how the next cycle dates work. They will overlap. A bit frustrating.

Current Subscription CycleAug 14, 2023 - Sep 13, 2023does this mean september 13th inclusive, or my service will end at midnight on sep. 13? thanks
Unforutnately, Public Mobile shows incorrect information in the Self Serve account. If you take a look at the plan cycle dates, that's actually 31 days. Your plan will renew/start a new plan cycle on September 13. You should ensure payment is made before the calendar changes to September 13. While service doesn't immediately get cut off at midnight, you've only paid up until the end of September 12.
09-12-2023 08:12 PM
It will end at 11:59pm eastern tonight. But as long as your services keep working (and you have the subscription set on) don't worry about it.
09-12-2023 08:12 PM
@johanneskreis No that means that when’s your subscription Renews for another 30 days
