I have not received an SMS message from my previous provider. Not sure whether Public Mobile has initiated the transfer

I help a friend porting his number from Fido to PM. We got the SMS text from Fido within minutes of completing the activation.
Did you leave the old SIM in your phone for the SMS text to come in?
Is your old service still active? So don’t cancel your service before porting.
You will need to contact a CS_Agent to restart the porting process for you.

you need PM to request porting to you old service carrier again. There is a number to call. I cannot post a number here but I can send you the number to your inbox in the community

Please make sure your previous providers SIM card is in the phone to get the text.
