@philips  - have you regained service yet?

If not, more information could be helpful. Are you an existing customer, or have you just activated a Public Mobile SIM card (new number or ported in a number from another provider) ?

 

If other's suggestions have not worked, try

  1. toggling to airplane mode that go back to regular mode.
  2. Also, try performing a reset of your device's network settings.
  3. Is your phone locked? Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
  4. Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
  5. manually select the 3G / WCDMA ONLY network in your Mobile Connections area in your settings (temporarily) for dropping or unable to make incoming/outgoing calls

Did you just activate a new SIM or are you an old customer?

 

There could be an outage in your area as noted by @Meow and check on the map.

Also login to your account and check the status of your account.

Before it happened to my old phone sometimes, need to re-insert the sim card, and re-start the phone. Sometimes due to the position, not recognize the sim card.
