@ron11 - did you get this figured out?

In addition to others helpful suggestions:

  • have you confirmed the phone you are using is compatible with public mobile,
  • Or could it be locked to its previous provider? (contact them to have it unlocked for you),
  • Or, could the phone be blacklisted? check here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

Had similar issue recently. Did you port your number?

@ron11 cannot even call out?  what is it showing on your phone status bar? any error message?  any signal bar showing connected at all?

if you cannot even make outgoing calls, it is a sim card provisioning issue, please open ticket with PM support

@ron11

Try:

  • Rebooting device
  • Resetting network connections
  • Toggle airplane mode on/off
  • Try SIM in different device

@ron11   Did you just port your number in?  It can take upto 2 hours to complete but usually a lot less.  Try rebooting the phone over the next hour or so.

BTW, did you respond with a YES to the transfer text from the previous carrier within 90 minutes (needs old SIM in phone)?  Also the previous account needs to stay active until the port is complete.

@ron11  Did you port a number over ? Did you reply yes to the confirmation text from old carrier ?
