my reward account and new point program

yackinlyn

just realized that my reward is on separate login, not impressed this way, why we need this inconvenience to register another account to remember log in info?

question about new program, for new account in the future, there is only one 5% reward? that is not a good reward at all, right now I have $10 referral,$2 loyalty, and $2 autopay($15 total), I was thinking to get another family member to switch to PM, if there is only 5%($1.25 off $25 plan), I will definitely not recommend. thoughts?

The logins aren't sepearate.  While you do need to login, the credentials for viewing your rewards are your Self Serve/My Account username and password.

The separate account probably has to do with redemption of points for new customers because I imagine they are not automatically applied like rewards are but they want everyone to have the same accounts regardless of the reward structure you are on. And they have made it very easy to switch to the new points program.

thanks, what is the pro to have separate system?

I like my autopay $2 bc I dont need $40 plan. any my loyalty will soon $3 monthly. but I will not convince my friends to switch bc of the new points

why they canot be in the same system, to save my time and another login? what is the benefit of this?dont we have enough to remember?

@yackinlyn

Your rewards will remain the same if you don't switch. And your rewards account log in is the same as your self serve account.

The points program rewards referrals and community the same just in points rather than $$ but are still with the same value. 1 point=$1.

The bigger changes affect the autopay reward changing from $2 to 5% of paid charges.... essentially what is charged to your card on file either manually or thru autopay or by voucher amounts added to your account balance. Basically less if your plan is below $40 (5%=$2) or more if your plan is above $40.

The biggest change is the loyalty reward at 10 points=$10 after each full year vs growing each year after the first from $1/month or $12/year to a capped $5/month or $60/year. Current customers who switch to the points program will get a one time buy out of $1 per month for the tenure of their time with pm.

Hi @yackinlyn ,

Yes, there is another login for the new Reward,

But even with the current system, Community login and Self Serve My Account are different logins.  They can only LINK them together to apply the Community reward if you set them both up with the same email address.

Other rewards on the current system  are fine as other rewards are solely on the Self-Serve My Account level

In fact, PM has a one more system and you can get even more confusing with another one, the Phone/SIM ordering system.

Not a great design.

for sure I will not switching to new point program, my concerns is if PM only offers 5% reward for new customers, who wants to switch? I will not be able to refer friends at all? that is very disappointing, and without old reward, community is going to losing lots of members to answer questions.

PM has promised that existing customers will get to stay on the current rewards plan, so that is the silver lining to all this.

But yes, I agree that PM is absolutely bungling this rollout to the max.
