@dew If you have been with PM for years it possible you signed up on province wide calling plan that used to be offered .if that the case I would schedule a plan change to to the new Canada wide $25 plan . But first are you able to call any other provinces ?

can you call LD to other numbers ? Can you try dialing someone else LD to see if it's going to connect ?

thanks for the advice but the reboot didnt work. yes i am in New Brunswick and have been with public mobile for years. my $25 plan now costs $18 which is great( but not so much without longdistance) i am not a tech guy so ill have to find one.

this could be due to a couple of things, some more likely than others:
First of all, try the routine fixes such as rebooting your device and resetting network connections. Those simple actions can sometimes solve a lot of network issues.
Awhile back, Public Mobile advertised provincial-only plans; they have since abandoned them, however some people are still on that plan and have not changed back.. By any chance, did you subscribe to that option?
It’s possible you may have also run out of outgoing calling minutes if you are on the $15 plan. If that’s the case, you wouldn’t be able to call out anywhere, not just British Columbia.
And finally, I presume you are calling from within Canada to British Columbia, and not from the US or any other country. Correct?

@dew it is a common system glitch.
First try reboot your phone
then make the call with the 1 in front of the 10 digits (or if you have already done that, try without the 1 instead). Usually that would fix the issue

@dew Are you dialling with a 1 in front of the area code? What error message are you getting?
