imessage not activating

I have had this problem since yesterday, I ported my number from lucky mobile and my new phone is working fine other than imessage and facetime won’t activate. On top of that my old phone hasn’t deactivated itself like i’ve heard it should so i’m thinking something went wrong with the port

so it’s working now randomly, i think it’s the 24 hours apple can take to confirm the number or something.

Your port from lucky was unsuccessful.  If successful, your Lucky mobile account will be permanently closed.

Try to call the Telus porting team.  Keep your Lucky mobile SIM card in your phone to receive the confirmation port request text from Lucky.

@danae444  Try removing your phone number from iMessages reboot the phone and add the number back to iMessages see if that helps

Try doing transfer to new iPhone on your old phone and see if that helps. Although you should be able to iMessage through all your devices. Try contacting Apple Support via text messages if the problem still persists.

For iMessage try turning off iMessage restarting and turning it back on. If that doesn’t work try unchecking all the options on how iMessages get sent restart and see.

Are you able to send messages, make calls and use data? If you cannot then that means that something went wrong during the porting process. I’ll send you the number if that’s the case. Check your messages, click the avatar and click inbox.

@danae444  I’ll send you the porting team phone number private message and they can re trigger the port request for you
