when I originally signed onto to Public I also referred a friend. I have been earning points each month because of this referral. If I change my plan, does that mean that I will no longer receive points for "REFERRING A FRIEND in the future under my new plan? In other words, am I being penalized because I switch my plan?

You'll keep all current rewards / points when you change plans.

Once you sign into Your Account, click on Subscriptions and add-ons, Manage Subscription, whatever you see there, is what you can change to.
Regardless, higher or lower.

someone else in the community said, "you can't change to a cheaper plan". I'm confused. Can I, or can't I change to a cheaper plan?

Can you explain?
To see which plans you can select, you must first log in to your own account. Generally...you'll only see plans of higher value BUT...if you're seeing a cheaper plan that the one you have now, go for it if that's a plan you want.

be aware that once you've opted for a higher value plan, you will not be able to downgrade to a cheaper plan.

You only lose your referrals if you close your account or port out to another cellular provider. I have changed plans, name, telephone number and email. As long as the same account number stays active, the referrals in the account stays the same.

No, changing plans will not affect your friend points. Change at will. However, when you change make sure you click on Change on Renewal, as there is no prorated amounts. That's where you would be loosing.

hi @Jvps1953
plan change won't affect your friends rewards. You will still get the 1 Point per month. So, go ahead and choose a plan you like
