is public mobile going to finally support esim? or can we no longer use the latest iPhone products on Public Mobile?
Sorry re-watched the release.
I thought they said north american models. but after re-watching it says U.S. models.
Thanks everyone. Panic averted.

Adding - I looked at Apple US before. Apple Canada does still support a physical sim.

US seems to not:

Canada. Confusing remark ... not compatible with micro sim.......but all newer iPhones are nano.
So many ways to read this🥴🥴
USA ... NO SIM card
I find it hard to believe that Canada and USA would not have identical products.

@softech- Yup. Among many of the reasons why I'm not an Apple guy.
I'm fine with a provider offering both kinds of sims. Older phones can still be used. They can pull in newer phone owners. esims can be "removed" from a device. I seem to think they can be re-used. Not sure. Haven't bothered to investigate that.
Adding - many Androids don't have headphone jacks and sd card slots. But there's only one Apple manufacturer.

I agree PM should start eSIM, especially now Apple has pull the trigger.
But I do not think it is necessary to remove physical sim at this point. Sometimes, removing of these and that is just to drive accessories sales and unnecessary, I think. Physical sim was what make swap phones and troubleshooting easy. Another example of unnecessary features removal is the sd card and the audio jack

Apple early adopters of those that always have to have the latest greatest.
I really can't understand why Public hasn't adopted esim. A simple matter of paying for it and then emailing a qr. Instant. None of this stupid slow snail mail. If your phone supports it of course.

Who cares .. Proud to be an Android user 🤖 > 🍎
and I will certainly miss asking people to "try to your sim card in another phone"

HI@suthek Where you got that confirmed news about eSIM on iPhone?
09-07-2022 02:27 PM
@suthek You can certainly open ticket but I am doubt it will make much difference.
So, did they announce iPhone in Canada will be eSIM only? Honest, Canada is not ready for eSIM only, not just Public Mobile. If they are doing it, it is a way to only give business to the big 3
To open ticket with PM , here are the 2 ways. Yes, you might want to ask them to escalate

Is there a way to escalate this issue with PM?
Before it was "ok" but now they don't support current generation phones.
