I just subscribed to a plan with public mobile
I got a physical sim, setup the account and got an active number. However i can't finish verifying the account without a 2 factor which said it has been texted to me. However all the sim card shows in my phone is SOS mode and isn't activated by the appearance. How long should activation be on a new account with a new number selected from the drop down list.

@softech it's an iphone XR, i have tried a system reboot, and i have gone as far as trying it in another device and have had the same result of just an SOS. I'm sure it is a simple fix. Will continue to monitor my inbox for response from support staff. Just an overall disappointing experience thus far with public mobile. PM should be ashamed the support isn't as fast or as supportive as the community group.

@carson_wudrich did you try your physical sim in another phone? Or if you don't have another phone, try to reseat the sim with a device reboot
if it still does not work in another phone 8 or after you reseat the sim card) , then the SOS means the sim card was not properly provisioned. Easy fix for PM support and you just need to engage them by direct message. Understand you messaged them already, please monitor your inbox for reply from support staff

@softech I've logged onto the app on the mobile device and have it installed. I have an email confirmation with the phone number registered. however I can't access my account on my device anymore through the app. as it wants the two factor authentication in order to work. Which since the sim card is showing SOS I can't receive or make any phone calls/texts/etc.
I've called the number physically with a different device and it rings and rings but nothing to the device. So I assume the number is at least active.

@carson_wudrich have you use the PM app to complete the activation or you have only been using the browser? If you have only using the browser in the subscription process, the activation was not done. Please download the PM app and login and complete the activation

@Handy1 it's pretty hard to navigate to that page or any other page on this site considering when i login its stuck on this screen. It's not user friendly in my opinion. the link is helpful but as you know when the browser timeouts on this site it initiates a re-login.

@carson_wudrich usually with in the hour sometimes longer . But hours are 9am10PM EST so should get reply first thing in the morning at this point . Thou sometime agents reply after hours also but
