Good morning,
My father lost his SIM card while vacationing. Now, I want to buy one for him. In the old days, I was able to access all the accounts (phone lines) I have set up payment with. Now, I cannot see his number under my profile and he had not issues in the past, so I had no need to assist him.
1) how can I access his profile and activate new SIM card (when I get a new one)
2) he has a basic senior Easyfone cell phone and I want to know if it would be compatible to buy a SIM e-card or do I have to get the physical SIM card.
Thank you in advance for anyone giving me some answers and tips.
Regards.

@Yesmil8 I forgot to mention, it will cost $10 plus HST to purchase from either of the store locations I mentioned before but if you have Amazon Prime you can buy one there for $5 with free shipping (must have Prime) and it will arrive typically in 1 to 2 days

Thank you very much. How wonderful to see this community helping so quickly and efficiently. Our country could learn from PM community! LOL
Now, I am heading to a store to get him a SIM card.

hi @Yesmil8
if your Easyfone has access to app store to download PM app, then you can use esim. If not, then physical sim

thank you very much 🙂 Great tips. I finally remembered the email I set his account with. Now I will go to a PM affiliate store to get him a SIM card. His phone is basic and not compatible for E-SIM and he likes it that way too 🙂 At 93, he doesn't need more complications.

@Yesmil8 if you go to the app and navigate over to the "Account" tab, you should see a spot to "Purchase SIM card", from there you can select eSIM which should check the phone for compatibility, if it's not compatible it will give you a message and not allow you to proceed in which case you would need a physical SIM card which you can purchase from a local Telus/Koodo or Mobile Klinik store

Update to my question: I forgot that I actually set him up with another email 🙂 So I now have access to his account. My second question still remains regarding SIM card vs E-SIM card

hi @Yesmil8
PM system is one email for one account. Your father's My Account would be using a different email address from yours (that's why you don't see his number on yours)
technically you cannot access his account yourself. BUT.. you can help by setting up another Community account and message support as him (of course you are just helping him to "type" and reply support. So, use the Community account you setup for your father to message PM support agent .
