how long will it takes to port phone from other company to pm

just activate the pm sim card can call but dont receive the call cant go on internet now

Hi baby08,

It should be done!  I switched from speakout (711) to public mobile, and it was virtually immediate. Once I entered the info online, I powered on the phone and it was all ready for texting and phone calls, with the new ported number. Middle of the afternoon, which is impressive!

I ported my number from Virgin mobile to PM around 1pm yesterday, and my number started working on PM within 2 hours.  It was amazing that the porting process was completed at noon this afternoon.  It is pretty fast.  Thanks PM.  Good work, as always.

@baby08 To port a cell number should only take a few hours, a landline can take up to 10 days.

If you're bringing the number from another wireless carrier, number porting should be done within a few hours.  The internet/data connection should already be working. If it isn't, that usually means that the APN settings have not been set correctly.

@baby08  It should take about an hour to complete if correct information such as account number and name were given. So wait a few hours and you will get a text. 

As for the data connection, make sure data is turned on in settings. If yes, make sure your APN is set correctly as shown here: https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en
