how do I make calls in Mexico?

I have the Mexico USA Canada plan.  I have tried everything to make local calls:  011 + 52 + number...no luck.  I have tried 001, 01.  Who has made a local call in Mexico using their Public Mobile phone?  Can you please share exactly what to dial. I'm trying to call 314 333 3982 .

@KeizerK  My understanding is that toll free numbers can be problematic when roaming.  Do they have a "regular" phone number you could call instead?

Currently in Mexico.  I had no issues calling home but when I try to call a 1-877 number it won’t work.  Suggestions?

Thanks for letting me know.  Yes, PM should have instructions on how to call from Mexico to Canada and the USA.

I did make a call while in Mexico to a number in Mexico and I finaly succeeded once I added the "+" in front of the number on my iPhone:  +011 52-(area code)-xxx-xxxx.

To call Canada, I had to enter the "+" again:  +1-(area code)-xxx-xxxx.

Would be nice if  https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/mex-subscription would include information on "how to dial" Mexico, USA, Canada and other countries.

that's new, I thought when roaming you call like you would when you are in Canada

no that is not it.  A few others have posted that you simply dial the area code and then the number with no exit or country code.  10 digit number only and it works!

@will13am   I read that within Mexico you now just dial the ten digit number without prefixes, so I think you are right.

@colinmccartie , maybe try calling as if it is a local code without the exit code and country code.

not sure if it is a problem with VoLTE, not all phones are VoLTE compatible with PM.  What phone do you have?

and yes, calling by 011-52-xxx-xxx-xxxx should be sufficient.  YOu can also try +52 xxx xxx xxxx
