connecting new sim card with old number

my sim card was damaged when I dropped my phone out of my pocket because now it wont connect to the network on any phone. I just ordered a new sim card, but I need to keep my old number because it's my work phone. How can I set this new sim card up with my old number? and Ideally I would receive any texts I missed in the last few days...

I have been with public mobile for about 2.5 years or so

@taylorljacobs   Regarding your question about receiving missed texts once you've completed the SIM change, from what I understand (remember) PM will hold undelivered text messages for 5 days.

@taylorljacobs hi you just go into your self serve account and go to quick links you can change sim there ,your phone number and plan will stay the same
