Thank you for your reply. However, originally when I reached out to a CS Agent, they advised me they are not permitted to downgrade but only upgrade. So, I took that CS Agents word and shared the information.

Many have been able to downgrade. If a CSA makes an exception and allow for a customer to get any plan that is only meant for a new customers, that itself is an exception, and there really isn't any generalization that can be made in my opinion.

HI @Chalupa_Batman

I guess for those who got refused to change, agent just use that as an excuse

I seen people able to downgrade myself too with help of agent..  so, just say YMMV I guess

Sadly, they will not let you downgrade.

Most plans are for new customers. However, if you like one of those plans and you are willing to upgrade, not downgrade, you can reach out to a CS Agent and nicely request to be "upgraded" to this plan. They will not downgrade.  Also note, if they do say yes, you WILL lose anything you've paid for this cycle and the new plan/cycle will start right away.

I can personally confirm I upgraded to a plan that's for new customers only. Just be nice to them.

I upgraded from the $25 5GB 3G plan to the $29 30GB 4G plan.

There's no such rule that says that a customer support agent will not allow a plan downgrade. These plans are advertised as only being for new customers.  If one wants to say that CSAs won't allow downgrades, then we also need to be saying that CSAs won't allow existing customers to get the plans.  Now, I'm not saying that a CSA won't honor any specific request, but all I'm saying is how nothing can be said for certain as CSAs have up to now being using their own descretion.

@korenish1  You need to ask support they can some times help , but you stand better chance of upgrading the plan for higher price not downgrade to lower price , they helped me get the 50GB $34 plan so I think you have better luck asking for the 30GB for $29 plan

HI @korenish1

The plan is for new activations only.

But you can check your luck with PM agent.   please submit a ticket with CS Agent here:
       https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

Remember, that plan supposed to be for new activation, so agent has the right to decline your request, although some reported they got it.
