I am getting too many scam calls. How can I change my phone number without changing my Public Mobile account?

@pingkaic  - just know that, everyone is usually spammed at one point or another. Unfortunately, sometimes more than others.

If the calls are coming from the same numbers, then best to block those numbers on a device level.

But if numbers are being spoofed (could look like any number, even local, calling you) you probably don't want to block those...they could keep changing anyway.

If you can try and hold out for longer, try not to answer them. And hope the just stop bugging your number...please don't send them my way though. 😁

As noted by others, you need login to your Self Serve account and Change Number.

As long as nothing is associated with your old number. You can change it and should change instantly.

Please also note that we all get spam calls so you can’t hide from them.

Just an FYI, you should consider if that number is important or not, as a lot of our digital life relies on a phone number, (i.e. signing into banking apps, Google/Apple/Microsoft accounts, 2 factor identification, etc.) If your concern is spam, you should try downloading spam blocking apps, etc. before changing numbers.

I suggest you to try to get number from newer area code, less chance of it being a recycled number

However, please note that changing number is not the best way of avoid spam calls.  Usually it is useful it you find the number was tied with some business before you and people keep calling for that business, or people keep calling the previous owner of the number. 

But if you just to to avoid random spam calls, it might not be useful.  Spammers just make up number and calls randomly.

You can change your phone number 4 times a month if you like here at Public Mobile.

Go to your Self Serve, under the My Profile section and choose Change Number.

Just login to My Account, click Change Number :
