The bar code is printed on the back of the packaging card. The sim card # that is printed on the SIM card can be seen thru the cut out window and matches the # on the actual tric-cut sim card that goes in the phone. (Customers should always save this card once removing the actual sim because it gives a back up copy of the sim card # and keeps this important piece if info out of the trash and prying eyes.)

The complete credit card sized sim card is "glue sealed" in the card packaging requiring a firm tug to release it. But is clearing visible if you hold open the card packaging or look at the back for the cut out window. If the SIM card is loose in the packaging it would be prudent to check in front of the clerk the validity of the sim card by entering it in the first step of activation. If its not rejected then you can cancel the process and activate later at home online.

Anyone who has ordered more than one pm sim card from CCS knows the SIM cards are often removed from their cardboard packaging to save on shipping costs for the owner. However the owner has meticulous record keeping and if a problem arose with a sim card he is well known to make it right as he takes pride in giving excellent customer service and the importance of his business reputation.

If the above scenario applies to you then contact the owner directly to rectify the issue.

Next time feel how thick the paper is and check on the back that you can see the barcode through the slot. It seems like they sold you have some card that has already been activated they forgot to throw out the paper packaging. Then they scanned  that same paper For a Sim card they already sold and probably already activated.  The moral of this long post is always double check the back to see the Sim card number and feel How to thick The paper is

You paid for an empty piece of paper

This is a retailer issue for selling you a empty PM SIM card in the package and not PM.

A PM SIM number would be required even for PM to help you. The number is on the missing SIM card.

@Chrissy_04

This is something the retailer has to fix not pm. Which retailer did you purchase the sim card from? Did they hand you the SIM card packaging from over the counter? Did you not open the "card" to see the tric-cut sim card peeking out from the glue sealed card packaging? Or see there was no sim card number showing in the cut out window? Any normal retailer should rectify this for you as they sold you a non existent product....a simple exchange should not be an issue.

The retailer name would help us check into their policies for you to rectify the issue. If it was a defective sim card then pm could help.

Definitely go back to the store, they sold you an empty box. Talk to a manager if possible a manager is usually more ready to help customers then the people at the till.

@Chrissy_04 PM does not have a phone number, you should resolve this issue with the retailer you bought the SIM card at.

I think you should go back to the store and try to resolve your problem with them, normally they're the ones responsible.

@Chrissy_04   I would ignore whatever the store said..if you bought something and there is no "content" inside.. you should go back to the retail for an exchange.    This is their obligation.. they are just saying that to send you away

If you want to go the long way, you can open a ticket with PM (but still, I think you should go back to the store for a "quick fix"
