If your call to the Philippines is a short one you can make a free test call using tello.com
https://www.mytello.com/en_CA/rates/cheap-calls-to-the-philippines
Or you can try the free service offered by poptox.com

You're right. There it is.
Now here's the part that concerns me.
It says that nowhere on the SHOP page. This could be HUGE for customers who look at it and DON'T see it as being an option and decide to go to another carrier that's not under the Telus umbrella. We have a HUGE Philippine presents here in Canada.
Sorry @Irene_M that we all filled this thread with all these posts. But you brought something to light that Public Mobile needs to fix. Whether they do it or not, is a different story.

thanks @Phil_Adelphus
@Chalupa_Batman please confirm you see the same. Access My Account, go to Subscriptoin & Add-ons page, click Shop Add-on (or use this direct link https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/manage/shop/addons), then click minute. You should see 100 Philippines Long Distance Minutes there for $15. If not, please engage support agent for help

@Chalupa_Batman I've always thought that was misleading, it says TOP add ons, its not all of them. The full list I posted the screenshot of is here

There is a 100 Philippines Long Distance Minutes - $15.00 (10 Rewards points)OK. Gotcha. But like @computergeek541 mentioned earlier, Public Mobile doesn't have any add ons or options to contact the Philippines. I just looked at the add ons. Would you mind sharing where you see this?
I was mistaken. There actually is one. It's not advertised anywhere on the Public Mobile website as being an option, but in Self Serve, a Philippines long distance add-on is offered for sale.

Interesting. If this is indeed the case, then Public Mobile needs to update their addon section here.
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/mb/plans#ALL then scroll down to Add Ons. That isn't listed there.

my suggestion above is to ask OP to get the Philippines add on and call the regular number ( (+632) 8631-8000 ) , not the toll free.

you might not be able to call the toll free number.
Instead, get the Philippines LD addon, then call 011 - 63-632-8631-8000

Trying to make a call to the Philippines

You wrote, in part, "... trying to call ... from the Philippines..."
@Irene_M , are you trying to make this call while you are physically in the Philippines? Or are you trying to make a call to the Philippines.
Neither will work using Public Mobile.

Now, IF PM did offer calling to the Philippines, you'd need to purchase a LD add on. Since PM doesn't offer calls there, here's a phone card that will help. Almost same price.

Which telcom should I use?

- Hi, I’ve been trying to call my banker’s international toll free number from the Philippines but failed. Public Mobile always say that the number I dialed cannot be completed. The international toll free number is IAC+800-8-6318000. I used 011 for the IAC. What’s wrong here?
Sorry, but the Philippenes cannot be called using Public Mobile. (correction: unless appropriate add-on is purchased)

BDO? https://www.bdo.com.ph/personal/remittance-services/contact-us
you tried 011-800-8-631-8000?
Try using free VoIP app TextNow to call. Download TextNow, pick a US number from the app and use it to call the toll free number
