Wealthsimple Cash Account for Payments

I had previously setup my monthly payments to be billed to my standard credit card account with my bank. Id like to change it to my Wealthsimple Cash account but when I enter the info it doesn’t seem to work and I get errors. The account seems to satisfy all of the requirements listed though. Is it still somehow possible?

I downloaded the app and updated my info there and it worked!

Probably not a problem with your card but a problem with PM system.  Many have trouble updating the card.  Wait an hour, wait a day or wait a week and try again using browser with Incognito mode

I currently have it being billed to a standard credit card account with a major canadian bank. id like to have the account billed to what is ultimately a prepaid mastercard with WS.

Thats not what I am reading but I could be wrong.  He had it billed to his prepaid credit card and now is trying to change it to his wealth simple cash account.  This is not a prepaid credit card but a bank account.

WealthSimple is still a financial institution. 

but doesn't matter in this case, it is a Prepaid Mastercard and should work.  Look like OP just got caught with the payment system glitch

Wealthsimple is not a bank. They partner with other CDIC members aka other Canadian financial institutions to be able to be covered under the CDIC. So with that being said, the OP or @polypants may not be able to use this account to pay for services including any prepaid credit card/debt card they provide as it's not a financial institution.

Prepaid Mastercard should work

it might be just the system being glitch.  You might want to wait another couple days before trying again.    

When you try, try using both Incognito/private/secret mode on your browser and try with Public Mobile app (with Location Permission enabled)

@polypants  It’s needs to be credit card / master card pre paid visa /master  card or visa debit . You can also but payment vouchers from shoppers drug mart and old the funds *611 also
