Want to add data to existing 90-day plan, can I just pay the difference?

I just switched over to Public Mobile in February, signed up for a 6GB data plan for 90 days for $130. I thought it was 6GB/month for 90 days, and now I realized I only have 500mb left for the remainder 50 days of my plan (silly me!). When I tried to change my plan to the 9GB 90 day version, it required me to pay the full plan amount ($145).

Is there anyway I could just pay the difference between the two plans ($145-$130) so I could use it for the remainder of this 50 day period?

@fluffythesheep Here's my analysis on your situation. You used 6 GB data in roughly 1/2 the time. To get to your renewal date an additional 6 GB via add-ons will cost $180! Therefore, just "bite the bullet" now and activate the 15 GB 90 plan for $180. You may also renew your current plan early for $135 to get those 6 GB; renewing early requires contacting the moderators.

If you think you could cope with the "3G" speed try, $150 for 18 GB, or $135 for 12 GB, over 90 days. Comparison to LTE here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Plans-Add-Ons/Share-Your-3G-Real-World-Experience/m-p...

One final thought, is that you may find it worth the extra $5/90 days to convert to 30 day plans. Upside is that you have less invested if a better deal comes along; downside is that 90 days plans allow you to manage your data needs over 90 rather than 30 days.

Changing plan would render your old plan expired immediately, you will be charged the full amount for the new plan - you don't want to do that specially you still have almost two months to go.  The best option is to get an 1GB data add-on for $30 and manage your usgage for the next 50 days.

Get a data monitoriing app to manage usage and be sure to check this out:

I'm new to PM so I'm not 100% sure but as far as I know there isn't specialists they handle everything.

The best way to contact them is to send a private message to Moderator_Team this will notify them all for the fastest response but I don't think any will be working at this time.

You can also @CS_Agent@@

Thanks for the quick reply! would you happen to know which mod I could get in contact with? Are there mods that specialize in these sorts of situations?

You would have to contact a mod to see if they would make an exception. Currently it is set up to charge full amount if you switch your plan immediately.

The other option is set it to change plans at renewal then you won't be charged the new amount until renewal but this won't give you more data until renewal. You could buy data add on to get you to renewal. 1 Gb is $30
