Voicemail Not Working

Hey, I can’t access my voicemail. When I go into it on my iPhone, I get an “Error Performing Request, Unknown Error” error. Does anyone else have this or know how to fix it?

I found this in an older thread from here, give it a try. Enter all of the following into the dialer and tap the “call” button:

*5005*86*+17785804001#

This error could be just because  a network problem in your area.  

Try calling thr VM access number directly,  you can try this one:  778-580-4001

try calling VM in different area

or you can try to change the network to 3G on your phone

To retrieve your voicemail messages from your mobile device, you can either:

• Hold down the 1 key on your phone keypad, or
• Dial 1 + your 10-digit phone number, then press send or call

What happens when you try to access your voicemail from another phone:

1. Call your 10-digit phone number.
2. When you hear your voicemail greeting, press the star key (*) to interrupt it.
3. Enter your voicemail password when prompted.
4. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your messages.

@Merisusa7 @Also check your phone app and make sure it’s on you will know it’s on if you have an option to change voice mail password , otherwise toggle it on

@Merisusa7 - was voicemail working previously? 

If not due to an update, try performing a Reset of your device's Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, VPN and APN settings, and connected Bluetooth devices that you've used before.

Iphone:

To Reset Network Settings, begin by opening the Settings app. Next, tap General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. and enter your passcode.

Your iPhone will reset network settings and restart itself.
