Hi all,
I have a question related to Voice over the LTE network.
If I am in Europe and I have a dataplan only, can I use that data plan LTE on the secondary eSIM (with PM still in as primary eSIM) to place a VoLTE call? Would that call arrive in Canada onto the Telus network?
I will try it in May but would like to know beforehand if this strategy works. I need the call mainly for 2FA since international text and wifi calling will not work (correct me if I am wrong on that).

What you're describing would be using wifi calling over data. As PM has no wifi calling it will not work.

Hello @mcmcmc
As stated below, that isn't an option. However, if you've purchased a data SIM or eSIM for down there and you just happen to have an iPhone, you technically should be able to send and receive iMessages as long as the other party is using an iPhone as well. And you should be still be able to use FaceTime while using the data eSIM that's attached to your phone number/apple account.

@mcmcmc Sorry Pm only has roaming in The US , best to bet local pre paid SIM card in Europe . Super cheap there

PM does not have a roaming service other than US. So, you won't be able make or receive calls using PM numbers
However what you can do is to get a local data sim or travel esim. Then use VoIP app TextNow to make and receive calls and text using a regular 10 digits number assigned by TextNow, it works as long as you have mobile data there or wifi
Add: some said TextNow might not work outside of Canada and US anymore. You might want to use Fongo instead. With Fongo, you can make and receive calls and receive text for FREE on the 10 digits number assigned by Fongo but you cannot send text without buying add-ons
