Let's say I'm in Europe where PM roaming is not available. If I'm on Wifi, can I send to and receive from anyone worldwide if they have RCS enabled? Will it work on Android and iPhone now?
If so, would be nice if companies send 2FA RCS/SMS. Of course, would be nicer if PM starts supporting international roaming.

Good to know about the short code on TextNow.
When I signed up on TextNow about 3 years ago. I was able to get short code but not anymore.
I have the TextNow SIM and credit in my account. Just wonder if the SIM will support the short code?

RCS will work on wifi, but SMS will not. Most MFA codes I receive are still SMS unfortunately, though I can think of one that I deal with that does use RCS.

@zaptor99 @BKNS27 I needed a 2FA SMS once when I was travelling in the Caribbean and using TextNow. Initially I could not get it. I had to subscribe to the monthly keep your number fee after which I received the code. Then I unsubscribed. May want to look into it here; https://help.textnow.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500002893921-Does-TextNow-Support-Verification-Codes

RCS/SMS should work on wifi. You can also use WhatsApp or TextNow app in Europe for free calling and texting but I don’t think the 2FA code will be send through these apps.

@zaptor99 I must be one of the few that doesn't have RCS turned on lol. It should work on wifi though. Instead of 2FA SMS a far better option would be companies use an authenticator app. Even Revenue Canada uses it now. No worries about where you are and if you can or cannot receive a @2FA SMS. As for extended roaming, we are with a 3rd tier provider......
