Use my name as my Caller ID instead of just the phone number

Hi There

I would like to use my name as my Caller ID so that the people that I call can see my name with or without my number instead of just my number. Does Public Mobile provide this option? Meardey Kim

Tell your friends to put your name and number on their contacts. Guess what happens when you call them?

I think Rogers is the only carrier that offers such  caller id.

Hi @meardey_kim , No, it is not PM that set the name

Is your friend just seeing the number or a wrong name?  If wrong name, check what name display app yiur friend is using or what make of the phone.  Some brands like Samsung provide free name lookup service.  Need to find out which one and can ask it to update

PM will display number only. If caller is in your address book, then you will see the name.

Not a Public Mobile issue.

If the people you call have you in their Contacts List...then your name will appear when you call them.

Otherwise...nope.

@meardey_kim PM does not pass name info on Caller ID, they just pass the phone  number

The number part is only on the receiver's contact setup or those 3rd party name lookup app

So, in short, nothing you can do nor PM can do.
