Us Roaming not working for calls, txt and data

I added us roaming $30 and paid on July 26 2024 but I am now in the US and I do not have any of the service I paid for. WHY. My  son did the same Roaming plan addon and his is working. Please I need to solve this.

Yes, make sure your data roaming is turned on and manually search for cellular networks in settings. Also make sure you are on 4G/LTE. I lived in the states for a few months this winter and it worked fine.

The easiest and most reliable way is as follows

The issue only seems to apply when you’re roaming on 5G. When you go to the US, go to your cellular settings (if an iPhone) and change the default network from 5G / 5G Auto to LTE. For day to day use, you won’t see a difference in speed.

If you leave it in LTE mode, not 5G, you will have seamless roaming.

I go to the US fairly frequently, sometimes for days at a time. Ever since I found this solution I have not had a problem.

not working at all? you turned on mobile roaming on your phone? you tried to connect to AT&T or T-Mobile or Verizon?  do not use 5G, use 4G or LTE

Critical part to US roaming depends on T-Mobile/AT&T coverage and whether you can connect successfully onto either network.

If the phone is not connecting to T-Mobile/AT&T, change the Network Connection from Automatic to Manual and select and test both T-Mobile and AT&T and see which one you can connect.

If your issue is with data, make sure your Roaming Mobile data is enabled and you have disabled your mobile data limiter.  Also change your network mode to 4G (and don't try 5G until you can connect and works on 4G)

If your issue is with voice, make sure VoLTE is enabled on the device setting.  And if it does not work, try to change the Network to T-Mobile ONLY, and change  Preferred Network Type or Network Mode to 2G and see if the calls go through.
Also, you can download VoIP app TextNow as a workaround to make calls and text if you have Wifi or if your roaming has data component and data  is working
