@Pipo I suggest you get Data roaming from Airalo if your phone has eSIM compatibility. You can then download Fongo app which will give you free Canada calling over the data connection. You can forward your PM number to the Fongo number so you can answer incoming calls. You will not be able to dial out using your PM number. You will have to use your fongo app/number to call them back. 
There is no way to receive text while you travel unless you use online texting services while leaving the phone behind connected to PM's network the whole time.

your PM phone number will NOT work away from Canada (or USA with correct plan or add-on).

You'd need a local sim and a cheap plan from Chile.

if you figure you'll have access to free wifi...consider downloading the free voip app TextNow. You'll select a free Cdn number so others can call / text you and you'll be able to call and text them...for gratis....all while using your wifi or separately purchased data.
