Dear Public Mobile Customer Support,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent changes introduced by the new Public Points program. Contrary to the promotional claims that the program would be beneficial to customers, I have experienced a significant and unjustified increase in my monthly phone bill.
Before the introduction of the Public Points program, my monthly subscription charges, including taxes, were $33.60. However, after the implementation of this program, my monthly charges have escalated to $42.00, inclusive of GST. This represents an increase of $8.40, which is unacceptable and has not been communicated to me in writing.
I do not wish to participate in the Public Points program, as it has clearly not provided any benefits and has instead resulted in a substantial financial burden. Therefore, I demand that my monthly charges be immediately reverted to $33.60, including GST.
If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be compelled to escalate my complaint to the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-Television Services (CCTS), the Consumer Protection Office, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Additionally, I am considering legal action should this matter remain unresolved through the aforementioned channels.
I expect a swift and satisfactory resolution to this issue. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and confirm the restoration of my original monthly charges at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

@maxim82 please edit you post and remove your telephone number. This is a completely wide open forum and anyone can take that phone number and do what they please with it. This is not a private connection.

You may want to remove your personal information, as this is a public forum and we are customers just like you. Additionally, you cannot opt out; you can complain all you want, but they are within their rights to amend their rewards program.
As noted, check out the current plans to see if there is a plan that is cheaper and may potentially offer more than you have now (the plans have gotten significantly better over the past year).

@maxim82 I don't know what plan you have but you may be able to select another one, such as the $34 Canada-US plan with 50GB of data at 5G (or below) speed. With the 5% points you would collect on that plan it would cost you $32.30 so an overall reduction not including any referrals (1 point = $1 same as before) and the 10 points you get annually on your anniversary. So overall you could end up ahead as long as the $34 isn't less useful than whatever you were getting for $42

hi @maxim82
i honestly don't think any of these will have any use.
remember they can make change to rewards system they like. there are terms to protect their right and by joining the rewards program back then, we already accepted that.
And many already make formal complaints, none of them able to get their usual savings back. So, it is pretty obvious what PM did was legal and hence they went ahead in May
but if you like to go ahead (like waste of time), instead of posting here which PM does not actively monitor, please submit a ticket with CS Agent using this Chatbot link: https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" , "Other", "Log In".
If any issue with ticket submission, you can submit by direct message:
