Why, why, why does this always happen?!? I have 0/15 days left. I have $30 funds available. I have, to my knowledge, completed the procedure twice to renew my add-on and have been told twice that I was successful but I still have 0/15 days and I cannot download an MMS. My single biggest complaint about public mobile 😠😠😠

@Amanda24 Oh right, Public Mobile has this new thing where they don't give you a lot of options if you're dropping your spend. Can you share what options you do have available? Many on higher spend plans won't have the option of the $35 plan, but they do have the option of a $30/20GB Canada only plan. A workaround is to change to that now, and then immediately schedule another plan change for the next renewal date into the $35 plan (which should become available now that you're on a lower spend plan). If really depends on what options you personally have available.
I have to head out for a couple hours, but others around here are very familiar with this process and can jump in with any further questions you may have.

It's been $60 of late, but when he first signed up with Public it was ridiculously cheap. You definitely merit your Mayor status! You have offered prompt, concise, thorough help and answers for which I am beyond grateful. We're both going to change plans now! ☺️

for such old plan, I would check the current plan, should save you some money and more data

@Amanda24 I can't see what his plan cost or details are, but if it's a legacy plan and he even semi-regularily buying roaming add-on's, I'd switch, yes. It's a great deal even without roaming, but add that in and it's a "start the car" kind of deal in my opinion. Also many older plans are 3G speed only, whereas this is 5G speed
EDIT: I see your screenshot in your next post now. That's a very old plan. Definitely switch! How much was that plan again? It's been a long time since I've seen that one, but $40+ rings a bell? If so it's a no brainer to switch.

This is my husband's current "grandfathered" plan. It does not include Mexico and has far fewer GB so it sounds like he'd be wise to switch also? He doesn't want to change plans and then find out the old one was better...

It's a VERY good deal, yes. Public Mobile started with a similar $34/50GB Can/US deal Black Friday 2023, and then for Black Friday 2024 it expanded to include Mexico as well (for $1 more). The industry has definitely evolved.

Canada, US, and Mexico, yup! Central America is technically "North America", so I wouldn't say North America, no.

@Amanda24 No need to buy a new sim card, no. Just login to your account and change your subscription. You'll have the option to change it now or upon renewal. Usually we recommend scheduling it to change on renewal because you don't get credit for unused time in your current cycle, however if you're in the US and need service now you may want to consider doing it now.
It includes calling, texting, and 50GB of data in Canada, the US, and Mexico. You can call to/from any of these countries with that plan. Calling/texting is unlimited, data is 50GB.

Do I just go to change/manage subscription or something? Your screenshot says something about purchasing a sim card. I don't have to do that, do I? Like, I'm pretty sure I already have one. Also, is that unlimited talk and text regardless of my location? As long as it's Canada, US, or Mexico?

Are you buying the same US roaming add-on back to back? There's a weird glitch whereby you need to wait 24 hours from when the first add-on expires and when you can buy the same add-on again. You could contact support to force a rebuy if you want it quicker, or you could buy a different roaming add-on.
Better yet, have you considered simply switching to a plan that includes US roaming? That way you wouldn't have to buy add-on's at all. For $35 you get full services in Canada, the US, and Mexico.

MMS does not even need to use your data bucket, you need to turn on data, but it won't really consume your data (But you need data on to download MMS)
what phone you have? some phones need to update the APN for MMS to download.
