Unusual Data Usage – Investigation Request

I recently received a notification that over 95% of my data was used between June 15 and July 15, which is highly unusual for my normal usage patterns. Upon reviewing my data history, I noticed suspicious activity during late-night hours, including: 1.13 MB at 1:34 AM on June 23 ; 17.41 MB at 2:26 AM on June 22; 908.34 MB at 3:13 AM on June 20

This is extremely abnormal, as I do not use my phone actively at these times. Could you please investigate whether this issue stems from your service or if there’s a problem with my device?

I’d appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this matter.

The Public system batches up the data used and reports it a couple times of day. Therefore the time listed is not when the data was used, the usage happened in the preceding hours. If you don't remember any large data usage, perhaps the 1GB was an OS update being downloaded to your device.

hi @yy1962 the usage you see around 2am or 3am does not mean you were using the data at that particular time

PM only posts usage once or twice a day. So , the 17Mb at 2AM is a total usage of the previous day.  Just like the 908Mb you see at 3:13, it is a total usage of the previous day

the 908Mb is unusually high, if you didn't watch video or make a big download, could be caused by automatic OS update that occurred on the day before

better check your phone usage history to confirm

@yy1962  Public mobile only updates the usage 2x a day so your only ever seeing the previous 12 hours usages used . But you can ask support to look into it for you
