I just paid my plan, changed my SIM card after I received the confirmation that my old cellular company could transfer my number to Public Mobile. Now, I can make phone calls, text, use my data, but when someone else calls me, it says that my phone number is not valid anymore. So I can't receive any phone calls. It has been more than a day, so I don't think it is the delay. What can I do to fix the issue, and is the any way I can talk to a real person and not a robot?

The problem is resolved! I wrote a ticket to the CS agent, they answered in 45-50min, and they tried again to transfer the number and it worked. Thank you for the help!

Did you get your issue sorted out? You did everything correctly by replying YES to the PAT (porting authorization text) but did you reply within 90 minutes? Call your old provider to confirm they released your phone number to pm. If the port did not complete it would not give you an invalid number message it would ring thru to your old providers voicemail. You didn't cancel your service with your old provider? You could try calling the telus porting department to check on what has happened but it would be best to inquire with pm's customer support.
If you were unable to submit a support ticket via SIMon click on the second option below. If you want the telus porting department phone # just ask and a member will private message you with it.

If you confirmed with YES to the text confirmation with the old carrier SIM in the phone then you need to reboot your phone by holding down the power button then power it back on.
Otherwise, it that didn't work. As others have noted, you need to contact a CS_Agent to restart the porting process.

You can reinitiate the porting text, but need your old sim and your old account also has to be in good standing to complete the port

You do need to go through the chatbot do get to a customer support agent. Since you were trying to port from another wireless carrier, a 1 day wait means that the number portin g failed. Did you reply to a text message from your old carrier saying "YES" to the number transfer? Your old carrier's SIM card needed to be in your phone for you to do that. In the meanwhile, keep using your old carrier's SIM card. Your calls will still be going to that service.
