Unable to make outgoing calls

Hi,

 

Been trying all morning to make calls.  Anybody else having the same issue?

 

How can this be resolved?

This usually happens when you have no minutes left but you said that wasn't the issue. 

Are you getting incoming calls? 

Trying rebooting your phone if not check your settings on your phone. Is it an iphone?

 @Eliza5 : I'm frequently surprised that a simple restart fixes these things. Yet I should know better. Smartphones are actually small handheld computers. We all know that our computers sometimes trip up and it's the ol' restart your computer trick. Same as our phones.

Turn off my phone for the 2nd time and left it off for a few minutes.  It is now working fine.

Called the same number yesterday and no problems.

 


Did you have problem with just one number  or did you try other other numbers as well?

 

did you try manually entering the number and add 1 in front of the area code ?

@Eliza5  Check:

  1. can you call 611
  2. If you have $10/15 plan login to your account, look under Data & add-ons to confirm you have minutes left
  3. do all other services work 

 

Until it's resolved get the Fongo, or TextNow, app  for free calling with wifi.

Texting is fine,  lots of minutes left on plan, no outages in area.  Called the same number yesterday and no problems.

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode

*reset network settings

 @Eliza5 : Texts in/out? Calls in? Internet browsing? Out of minutes if on limited minute plan? Outage in your area?
